Presenter

Vu is a 5th year Ph.D. candidate at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). His research focuses on communication runtime system for emerging hardware and programming models. His thesis study the characteristics and performance optimization for a low-level communication interface targeting distributed-memory systems and framework with massive number of threads. He is a regular contributor to MPICH, a state-of-the-art MPI implementation, he was awarded a Best paper at EuroMPI and also a Kenichi Miura award for excellence in HPC research at UIUC.
