Masaaki Kondo
Biography
Masaaki Kondo has published 34 journals, 33 refereed international conference papers and 14+ refereed international workshop papers in the area of computer architecture, high performance computing, VLSI design, and embedded systems, with focusing on low-power and high-performance microprocessor design, power management for high performance supercomputer systems, and dependable cluster systems. He has graduated 15 M.S. students and is currently supervising 5 M.S. students in the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo. He has served on the 44 program committees for international conferences and workshops. He has engaged in 11 research projects as PI/Co-PI with research grants administered by the Japanese government (MEXT, JSPS, JST, and NEDO) and from industry. He has received best paper awards, from IPSJ, IEEE International Symposium on System-on-Chip, and in several IPSJ symposiums (HPCS2003, SACSIS2005, SACSIS2008) and is honored with IPSJ Yamashita SIG Research Award in 2009.
